uhhhhh maybe new gender reveal???? I was doing more gender deep diving (ugh, because OF COURSE I have to do more gender questioning just when I thought I was clear what my gender is) and I found these cool identities, and they kinda clicked for me. may need to do more questioning and research. quoiby/umbraquoi still fits for me, but I wanna find a term that is BOTH nonbinary and agender, because that fits me too (if anyone has a term that fits that pls tell me!)

Lovely interaction I had the other day:
Me: hey, mom, what do you call (Sparky)?
Mom: …their name?
Me: yeah, but, like, me and (Lotus) are your sons
Mom: mhm?
Me: so what would they be?
Mom: …child?
Dad, popping out of nowhere: SPROG
Sparky, on the couch: YES
Moral of the story is that parents should call their nonbinary child their sprog

Othran flag because I realized I didn't make one yet!
Othran is a nonbinary alternative for woman or man. The term was created on July 1st 2023, by me. Note that "nonbinary alternative" does not mean it's "unisex/gender neutral" meaning it could refer to anyone of any gender, it is explicitly for nonbinary people who are not women or men in any way.

[ID: A pride flag with five horizontal stripes of: Dark grey, light grey, white, pale yellow, and black. End ID.]
This flag, like all my pride flags, is public domain, which means you are explicitly encouraged to download it, share it, and use it for anything you like -- including in designs you're selling.
If you can figure out where the color scheme comes from (besides my synesthesia), you get a symbolic gold sticker.
You can download the HD version of this flag from the internet archive here.
If you're trying to hand-make something with this flag and only have limited colors, you can replace the two grey stripes with whatever single shade of grey you can get your hands on.
If you create terms and pride flags for Queer identities, please get into the habit of uploading them to the web archive before you post them, and then linking that in your post, like I've done here. Too many terms get lost because of blogs being deactivated!
Creating an account is easy and free, and they don't spam your inbox with emails. You'll also get access to all the books that have been donated to their open library, to borrow and read for free!

friendly reminder that “boydyke” has existed for a very very very very long time and transmen, genderqueers, trans women, transfemmes and transmascs have been a part of the lesbian community for as long as its been around and we ain’t going no where!
OP uses it/he/that/thing

So I guess I was making things up or pretending 10 years ago when trans masc and nonbinary people who didn’t pass or express their gender in societally accepted ways were called “trenders” and “theyfabs” by the same people who would gladly accuse someone of being a blue haired liberal/sjw/feminazi/etc….Just another example of trans men not being respected as reliable narrators of their own experience!

Istg I’m gonna flip if I can’t find this one fricking carrd… I remember finding it on here and it was a link to this whole masterlist of nonbinary identities/terms, and now I can’t find it! All I remember is that it had terms like abinary and a whole bunch of words to use to describe nonbinary people of different ages and honourifics and all that cool stuff. I don’t remember who made it, but it would be super cool if someone could possibly find it and send it in the comments! Pls help 😿

When people say "I don't want my child to be exposed to LGBTQ+ media because it will turn them gay" they actually mean "I don't want my child to be exposed to LGBTQ+ media because it might help them realize that they're gay".

really enjoying the idea of stealth-trans!Wilson trying to be supportive of a trans duckling without explicitly outing himself, but fumbling and doing such a bad job that he comes across as mildly transphobic
everything he says is digging himself a deeper hole, to the point where he has to come out as trans, but at that point, the duckling low-key thinks he's lying so he doesn't sound as bad

People forget a lot that transmasc/transfem/transneu don' necessarily mean trans man/trans woman/trans nonbinary/gender neutral, n that honestly annoys me many, many times.

AFAB Transfems : Want a community?
Hello reader! If you're interested, you probably are or think you might be transfeminine. The issue for you is that either you were assigned female at birth or were assigned a gender that makes you feel it would be odd for you to call yourself transfeminine.
You've probably felt imposing or unwelcome in transfeminine spaces, maybe you even feel isolated.
Well no longer! For the first time ever, we have a space to gather! The largest AFAB Transfem space ever created, our Discord server. Even if you're on the fence, take a peek and see if you resonate with us, you might just meet others like you for the first time! And you don't even have to be sure about it!
This is not an education server. For safety of our members, only the people described will be permitted to join. We are not here to convince you “why AFAB Transfems are valid”, we hear enough discourse about our existence. We deserve a space to exist within our genders and to relate to others like us free from outside influence. If you personally don't agree with the concept of AFAB transfeminine people, you can ignore this post in its entirety. As important as allies can be to trans communities, we specifically are controversial to the point that allowing outsiders can quickly become hazardous. Even those who state their support will not be allowed unless they consider themselves a potential member of the community. Please do not join to try to learn about us.
We hope to see you there! https://discord.gg/4AJCNQ6gzF

The hardest, but most important, part of my transition has been untangling what my personal dysphoria is, and what is more a result of cissexism.
What I mean by this is that I learned that I am not dysphoric about certain aspects of myself, my body, and my life, but my discomfort in these aspects was influenced by the cissexist culture I live in which told me I couldn't exist as myself.
It's definitely a slow process, but I have found that it helps me self-actualize and actually see myself instead of what others demand of me.

The three tiers of queer sff:
Broke: what is worldbuilding? Made in a lab to be as blandly inoffensive as possible. Time to randomly namedrope terms like 'nonbinary' and 'ace' while doing zero work actually incorporating them into the world or characters and have someone give a speech about how valid they are. Lines like 'I'm too ace for this' while never exploring the concept of asexuality or aromanticism and still having very central romance plotlines is common. I hate it here learn how to write realistic dialogue and fully realized characters I'm begging.
Woke: more ore less typical sci-fi and fantasy but It’s Queer Now. Might include in-universe queerphobia to be struggled against or may have queer identities be fully normalized. Can be done bad or well depending on the skill of the writer. A good way to explore our contemporary ideas of gender and sexuality or to have a bit of a power fantasy with lesbian princesses and trans knights. There will probably be a bisexual love triangle.
Bespoke: what is a gender. What is monogamy. What is polyamory. What is romance. What is platonic. Time to show you the most fucked up uncategorizable relationship you’ve ever seen. There may be weird ass metaphorical sex
